Ursuline Senior Secondary School, Kannur, is owned by the Ursuline Sisters of Mary Immaculate, a Congregation founded in Italy, in the 17th century with the aim of educating young girls. It had its humble beginning in the year 1959 as Montessori House of Children. This school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and has classes from PRE-KG to standard XII. Evidently, over the years, it has grown into a full-fledged institution with a strength of around 2200 pupils and 99 teaching and non-teaching staff. The school was opened for both boys and girls. From 1986 onwards it was limited to ‘Girls only’. Our first batch of students appeared for the All India Secondary School Examination in 1981 and ‘Plus 2’ in March 1990. Ever since, the school has been maintaining 100% results.
Ursuline School has achieved the highest level of overall student satisfaction among CBSE schools.We impart the best of education providing the required facilities.We also provide vast opportunities for cultural and sports activities.
The cent percent results obtained by our pupils in the All India Secondary and Sr.Secondary School Examinations throughout the years is a remarkable achievement.

The Ursuline Students Social Wellfare Association acts as a catalyst orienting the pupils to awareness and service towards the less privileged of contemporary society.
Students are provided with ample opportunities to develop the various hidden talents and pave the way for the full development of their personality.Computer,Karate,Skating ,Music and Dance classes are part of the curriculum.
Maintaining a green and clean environment and the conservation of water and energy is emphasised through various activities. 'Nallapadam' and 'Eco club'serve to be ideal means to inculcate love and respect for nature and urge their sense of responsibility to preserve Mother Earth clean and intact.
